When something goes on sale, it usually isn't for long, and that certainly includes airline tickets. The great deal about airfare bargains is that you can buy your ticket now for travel later.
Here are some discount deals and bargains for April:
United Airlines has discounted prices as low as $39 between cities in the USA, such as between Boston and Washington, D.C, and $99 between New York City and Denver. You must purchase a ticket by April 9 for travel through June 7.
JetBlue will be launching twice daily flights to Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic from New York's JFK on May 24th. Special introductory fares start at $109 each way.
Southwest Airlines has systemwide hot fares through August 24th, with a purchase by April 7. Bargain fares include $49 each way within California and within Texas, and between Philadelphia and other cities to Florida at $79 each way.
It's not just American airlines and USA and Caribbean destinations on sale this month.
BMI, the 'other', lesser known British airline, is discounting both London and Manchester from the USA. Sample fares include Chicago-London or Seattle-Manchester at $278 each way. Salt Lake City-Manchester is $389. You must book by April 5th and leave for Great Britain by May 27th. A Saturday night stay is required for these fares.
LTU, the 'other', lesser known German airline, is discounting all its German destinations for spring and summer travel. Travel from New York must begin by May 30, from Los Angeles or Las Vegas by May 23. Sample fares include JFK to Munich or Frankfurt at $318 round trip, Los Angeles to Berlin or Dresden at $748 roundtrip.
Air New Zealand has put Los Angeles to Auckland on sale for $798 roundtrip, which is more like the regular price for one-way. And, they are throwing in a free stop-over in Cook Islands or Fiji. Book by April 13 and complete travel by May 31. The fare is $844 if you want to go in June.
The Russian airline Aeroflot is offering discounts to Moscow, Dubai, Cairo and other cities on its route as low as $569 round-trip if you complete travel by May 31.
