The best bargains go fast. These airline fare deals won't stay around long, so get busy and book your next adventure travel trip.
These discounted flights are such good deals that it may be worth it to book and pay a $100 penalty to change the flight later, if you have to change. American Airlines is offering discounts flights for domestic flights through March 7. Discounts on international destinations are through the end of February or March, depending on destination. Tickets must be purchased by January 9, 2007, and are for round-trip, off-peak economy class travel. Here are some examples: Miami/Washington, D.C., $130; LA/New York, $318; Boston/London, $343; New York/Brussels, $399; Dallas/Tokyo, $774. United Airlines has a similar sale for roundtrip purchases made by January 9, 2007, good for travel through March 7, 2007, with some exceptions for peak holiday periods and weekends. Sample fares include: Denver/Seattle, $218; LA/San Francisco, $108. The sale at JetBlue is for flights booked by January 16, 2007. Sample fares are $129 each way to Burbank or Las Vegas, $99 to San Juan or Cancun. The system-wide sale at AirTran Airways is until January 18, 2007, for travel through May. Bargain examples include Boston/Chicago $59, New York/Grand Bahama Island, $89, Pittsburgh/Orlando $69. A ten-day advance purchase is required. South African Airways is offering an incredible two-for-one sale to Johannesburg or Cape Town, from either New York’s JFK or D. C.’s Dulles. That means you and a friend can go for $1500, or less. Flights must be booked by Feb. 1, 2007, you must finish your trip by March 14, and this deal is available by telephone only, not through the website. Call 800-521-4845. This is a great time to visit South Africa – January through March is sunny and warm.
